1. Information we collect

We may collect the following information when you use the Service.

• Account details: the email address, name and account identifier we receive from the Apple or Google account you sign in with, and the display name you set in the app (we do not store passwords)
• Profile details: profile picture, if you choose to upload one
• Learning settings: study language, display language, language level, theme colour, speech rate and voice, AI customisation notes, and other preferences
• Learning history: practice records for phrases and words, accuracy rates, saved folders and memos, and search keyword history
• AI feature usage: keywords entered into the AI generation feature, and your ratings (good/bad) of the results with the reasons
• Survey answer: how you found out about Lanbla, asked when you sign up
• Device information: the OS type (iOS / Android) and an identifier the Service issues per device (used to count the free plan's daily limits per device)
• Purchase information: your subscription (paid plan) status and, if you use Support (donations), the amount, purchase time and store transaction identifier
• Access information such as sign-in timestamps, and records of errors

2. How we use information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• To provide features based on your learning history, such as automatically collecting the words you find difficult
• To manage the free plan's usage limits and to display ads
• To deliver announcements
• To respond to your enquiries
• To prevent misuse and address violations of the Terms of Service

3. Sharing with third parties

We do not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

4. External services

The Service uses the following external services. Information is sent to each provider only to the extent needed to provide that feature.

• Anthropic (AI generation): the keyword you enter, your study and display languages, your language level, and the AI customisation notes you register
• Google Cloud Text-to-Speech (read-aloud): the text of the phrase or word being read (not sent when your device's built-in speech synthesis is used)
• App Store / Google Play and RevenueCat (in-app purchases): purchase and subscription status, and an anonymous user identifier issued by the Service
• Google AdMob (ads on the free plan): information needed to serve ads, such as the advertising identifier and device information. Only non-personalised ads are shown, and we do not ask for permission to track you across apps

Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for how they handle information. If we introduce a new external service, we will revise this policy and let you know.

5. Cookies

In addition to cookies that keep you signed in and remember your sign-in, we use a cookie that identifies your device (valid for one year). The device cookie is used only to count the free plan's daily limits per device; it is not used for advertising or shared with external services.

6. Storage and deletion

When you delete your account from the account settings screen, your personal information, including registration details and learning history, is deleted promptly. Records of payments related to Support (donations) may be retained after deletion to the extent required for accounting purposes.
